My name is Mateus Compart, I’m an artist from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, graduate in Animation Cinema and Digital Arts at UFMG. Working mostly with comics and animation, with interest in writing and in experimentation with languages and mediums, exploring the use of puppets, sculptures and collages. The themes in my work strongly surround the dynamics and potencies of images, through cultural, political and esoteric motifs, building the absurd, cartoony, ritualistic and pastiche.
