Mega-mining, fracking and monoculture with pesticides are current modes of large-scale extraction of natural resources that put the environment and life on earth at risk, accelerating climate change. We accompany our protagonists, who represent different towns in Argentina and are leaders in environmental care, in the eternal fight against the planet’s most powerful monopolies, seeking a model that is sustainable over time and more economically fair for everyone.
Juan Pablo Lepore was born in Argentina on 04/10/1982. He studied Image and Sound Design at the UBA. In 2014 his debut work “Without a boss, a permanent revolution”, in 2015 “La Jugada del Peón, lethal agribusiness”. In 2016 “Forget them and they will come back for more” and in 2017 “Agroecology in Cuba” chosen by 10 festivals. In 2020 “La vuelta al campo” makes its world premiere at the FINCA. To date it has participated in 50 festivals and has received multiple awards. LAS BRIGADISTAS recently released, winner of the best documentary at the world premiere. THE EARTH EXPLODES is the 7th film.
