Eliana Niño Screenwriter, director and film producer. She studied the master’s degree “Cinéma, Réalisation et Création” at the University Paris 8 in France, where she made her short film BAJO EL JARDÍN, and with which she has participated in various festivals obtaining the Jury Prize at the Girogirocorto film festival in Rome, Italy (2016) and the Public Prize “Ricardo Restrepo” at Festival de Coine “Regards sur le cinéma de Colombie et d’Amérique du Sud” (FECRECCAS) in Montpellier, France (2018). Her first feature film SEMILLAS, shot in January 2023, has been winner of the Feature Film Script Development Award (2015) and the Post-production Stimulus (2023) by the Colombian Film Development Fund. It also obtains film production support from the Instituto de la Cinematografía y de las Artes Audiovisuales de España, thanks to a co-production with the Spanish production company MGC MARKETING. Recently her project has been selected in the First Cut Section of the 15th edition of the Argentinean market Ventana Sur.
